Well, my little birdies, I have returned! After a much needed visit to my women's bible group, I again found motivation to visit Whispers and other writings. So, here is a posting place for today! Thoughts?
I know that life often leaves me feeling alone, even when surrounded by loved ones. I always blame "the lonely hole" at my core being on the lack of God in my life, and a distance from His presence. It is an often present, often aching truth that I have learned to ignore. But perhaps it is a good time to examine it some more, again!

Aw Kate, yes, life can often leave us feeling alone - like the little sparrow. And God IS in your life! When you think you're away from His presence, remember which side of the desk you sit on every day. Remember all of the blessings Dave pours on you every day. Remember the access you had to great education your whole life (and even now with the library and internet resources). God IS there, and He loves you.
I think as you start talking to him, He'll start talking to you. Perhaps not as a voice in your head or in magical street signs, but in the blessings from your family, friends, the unexplainable 'good things' that happen (some people call it luck, others karma - I call it God!) Just remember that for any good thing, give praise to God.
Me? I just got a new free tire on my car today! Praise God!!! The tire machine malfunctioned when checking out one of my tires and slit it apart. Whoops. God blessed me through the Discount Tire man! All good things come from Him.
And how appropriate that this was Amy's devotional for today. I felt so lonely yesterday. At work, after work (even though things were fine and great with Doug). Sometimes we realize that people can't fill all that space in our soul - God can. And eventually, around 9pm and a few chapters into Daniel, I let Him back in.
AMEN!
I was feeling alone at work today, and I work with a bunch of women! It was strange, like I just wanted to leave so I could really be alone.......
Oh well, I am just blaming it on hormones, because I know better, but just knowing something doesn't always make it better.
It looks like we all had our "alone moments" on Wed. May our Thur bring reminders of who we are and why we are here!
*grin* I have felt the absense of Peggy here lately - it's amazing how having her to vent to and joke with helps my mood! The day's I'm here by myself, I find keeping the smile plastered on can be even more difficult. I must let her know how much I appreciate her!
Mom - totally can relate! I love my me-time so often! (Hmm, I could use more of that soon...)
